MONDAYS & THURSDAYS, OCTOBER 7, 10, 21, 24, 4-6 PM

This class will show you how to improve the portfolio photos of your work using Adobe Lightroom, whether you are a potter, a fabric artist, a sculptor, or work in oils, acrylics, pastels, or other two-dimensional work. Discussion will cover improving the photos you take, so that you have the best images to work from and how to organize your work as you import photos into Lightroom. Once your photos are in Lightroom, you will learn how to make adjustments to color temperature, remove dust spots, and maximize details in your work; and how to export your work as JPGs, as web galleries, or prepared for printing as a book. The class will only include a brief discussion of how to print. If you have a laptop with Lightroom installed, bring it, but it is not required. There will be a complete set of notes covering all the steps of the material in the class so you can duplicate what you learned when you are on your computer at home. Prior experience with Lightroom is helpful, but not necessary. A basic level photographic experience is expected. All ages welcome.
