Enrollment is limited but open to all levels, beginning to advanced. Make your own original dinnerware in time for Thanksgiving! Learn to throw bowls, cups, and plates on the wheel with master ceramic artist and professor, Jim Romberg.

This five-session class meets weekly for instruction on creating functional and sculptural ceramic work on the potter’s wheel. You will learn the basics of centering, shaping, trimming and glazing. You’ll learn about how to interpret your own style through shape and glaze.  Complete your dinner set in 5 classes. The class is small and personal.  This class will cover every aspect of working on the potter’s wheel from centering, trimming, wheel thrown constructions, application of slips and textures, as well as glazing and firing. Lectures on contemporary and historic wheel thrown pieces will be presented.

Materials fee: 25 lbs. of clay and firing included.  Additional clay and firing can be purchased during the workshop.
